Mercury Labs built a bespoke algorithm for an institutional publishing company. Our objective was to help increase sales by providing clients with personalised recommendations for products that are likely to be of interest to them, using an Association Rules Algorithm. This algorithm is based on the idea that if two or more items are frequently purchased together, or have some other association between them, then suggesting them together may lead to an increase in sales. We crafted an intricate system of rules that analysed customer purchase history and product characteristics to provide tailored product recommendations.

The successful model generated a 13% increase in Sales.
